P!nk - Glitter In The Air (GRAMMYs on CBS)

I was not a fan of Pink before I saw her performance at the Grammys this year. I thought she was just some loudmouthed drunkard chick. After that Grammy performance, I was sold. I listen to this song every day. I watch this video everyday too. It brings tears to my eyes. What a lovely song and what a fabulous performance.
If you havent seen it, please watch!
Now, that trapeze stuff is really appealing to me. I have been looking for a local trapeze class to take. I wonder if they accept nearly 50 year old chicks? I look like hell in a leotard...sigh.

Have you ever fed a lover with just your hands?
Closed your eyes and trusted, just trusted?
Have you ever thrown a fist full of glitter in the air?
Have you ever looked fear in the face and said, "I just don't care"?

It's only half past the point of no return
The tip of the iceberg
The sun before the burn
The thunder before the lightning
The breath before the phrase
Have you ever felt this way?

Have you ever hated yourself for staring at the phone?
You're whole life waiting on the ring to prove you're not alone
Have you ever been touched so gently you had to cry?
Have you ever invited a stranger to come inside?

It's only half past the point of oblivion
The hourglass on the table
The walk before the run
The breath before the kiss
And the fear before the flames
Have you ever felt this way?

La La La La La La La La

There you are, sitting in the garden
Clutching my coffee,
Calling me sugar
You called me sugar

Have you ever wished for an endless night?
Lassoed the moon and the stars and pulled that rope tight?
Have you ever held your breath and asked yourself will it ever get better than tonight?
Tonight

Have A Lovely Day!

I've always liked Pink's voice. Some of her lifestyle choices, not so much.

OK, I saw an interview with her and....um, I think it was Oprah, right after this performance, where they went through and Pink talked about what she was thinking at different points in the performance, and it was fascinating.
I don't watch daytime TV but I was at a friend's house and she love Oprah. I don't know if you can find that clip on youtube or not, but it was a fun interview.

Pink is and always has been a Top Notch Entertainer!
Just because she had a song about getting a Party Started, doesn't mean she is a Ditz. She writes fabulous songs. She Loves her husband, she is NOT a druggie at all! I have always respected and loved her work. She loves her parents, she is NOT a Ho!
I'm glad you like her...She ROCKS!

I just listened to it more than watched it since I am at work. So I had it on in the background. She does have a great voice, and the lyrics are really wonderful. I might have to see who writes her songs.

Interesting about G-Man's comments too. I really haven't paid much attention to her, maybe because she sometimes gets the wrong kind of attention. :-)

Thanks for visiting my blog S! LOL! I'm not sure how to email you so I will say it here- I never made it a Dead show, but I've been to Burning Man twice, before my daughter was born. :-)
