Who Will Be At San Souci Tonight?

Visuals from Seattle....

Some things are not as innocent as they seem, and will make you very wet

Um yeah, that's me in the Moore hotel lobby bathroom, listening to Rufus' soundcheck through the vents!

What do you mean WHO IS RUFUS?

Sidewalk

The Seattle main library is a freak show.

So like, did they run out of paint and then use whatever they had lying around? Hee hee just kidding! It's really cool in there I swear it.

Pretty things at Pikes.

Someone took me to a spa for a facial! Do I look relaxed?

YYYYYY Hi Miss! YYYYY

I really did it, I went up there!

This shot was taken with my Nokia mobile phone, RennyBA! (Just kidding!) But, it was taken from the top of the Needle! Yes, yes, I did go up there this time and I have proof.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk, Rufus Alert!

I met RUFUS in Seattle! I may never wash my right hand for the rest of my life!
OK, I mean, it was just me and one other guy...and I was too nervous to go up to him, and Nate, the other guy, grabbed my arm and dragged me over there! Thank you Nate! I can now die!
Ruuuuuuuufffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssss~
More later on Seattle...did she or didn't she do the Needle?

Musical Monday Bounces Off HNT and 55Flash Fiction Friday!!

Image hosting by Photobucket

Bouncing Off Clouds by Tori Amos

HNT

How can anyone remain so calm with that freak spinning around behind them?
~
55Flash Fiction Friday
~
They partied all evening, then crashed onto the lumpy hotel bed.
A sudden annoyance disturbed Logo’s snoring slumber. There was that Susie, turning cartwheels, each rebound causing the surrounding clouds to puff and billow.
“Girlllllllllll!!!,” Logo whined, “I’m trying to sleep here!”
“You ARE asleep, you dork!” replied Susie. “Now give me back my pillow!"
~
I'm going to Seattle to visit this character. But before I go, I have laundry to do, stuff to sew, bills to pay, suitcases to pack, soooooo....this week, you get the whole shabang in one post.
I tried to have a theme throughout my Musical Monday, HNT, and 55. How did I do?
By the way, the rockin' Gman will be your 55 host this week, so go tell him if you played!
Have a lovely week, everyone!

Yo George!

i salute to you Commander
and I sneeze
´Cause i have
Now an
Allergy
To your policies it seems
Where have we gone wrong, America?
Mr. Lincoln we can´t seem to find you anywhere out of the millions
From the deserts
To the mountains
Over prairies
To the shores
Is this just the Madness of King George
Yo George
Is this just the Madness of King George
Yo George
Well you have the whole Nation on all fours

55Flash Fiction Friday

If I was a hobo
I'd sneak into your yard
Steal your fresh hot pie
Cooling on the sill
I know you'd think me naughty
As I ran, pie in my hand
Your little dog would chase me
But he would do no harm
We all know it's a little game
You baked this pie for me
I know because
You needed two but baked three!
~
I just cannot figure out how to eliminate 11 more words, so today you get 66 words. It's ok, rebellion is allowed around here!
~
The most loveliest G~man will be the official host of 55Flash Fiction Friday next week as I will be in Seattle with this character being forced up into the Needle! I'll see you if I make it back.

Big Day For Little Rita HNT

Today my Little Rita got braces on her top teeth. Although she is only 10, which is a little early for braces, Little Rita has polynumerals. That means that some of her teeth have twins. So, after a couple years of pulling extras, waiting for the other extras, pulling them...finally we've gotten to the right amount of teeth. Unfortunately, they did not all end up in the right places, so that's why braces now. (Yes, BTW, we do have dental insurance.)
You look marvelous Little Rita! Let's go over and see what your daddy is up to...

HHNT Everyone!

Broken Things.....

This is the picture I got when I googled "broken things"!

I don't know why, but lately a lot of things have been breaking around here, and if that's not enough, things are also getting mighty lost. Instead of whining about my individual losses, why not post them all right here, then you can all pity me at once! Then, if you want, you can tell me what you've lost or have broken lately.

Broken:

Ipod Shuffle - will not hold a charge, it's under warranty though, new one on way.
Weed Wacker - your standard everyday "heavy duty" weed wacker just doesn't last through a 2 acre field of grass over and over, year after year.
Vacuum - OK if anyone can reccomend a vacuum that actually works, can handle people hair, thread, fabric scraps, wool, cat hair and dust, and doesn't cost $1,000, let me know. I have had this vacuum LESS than a year, and I think it worked properly for about a month. Don't tell me to go out and buy a fucking Hoover, thats what this disapointment is.
Front Screen Door Latch - They just don't make em like they used to! Door always open, flies come in, wasps too...come on in, why not? Let's have a bug party!
Garbage Can Lid - The kitchen trash can...they have those cute little lids that come with them, with a push button lid opener, so you can say, open it with your toes. Now, somehow the spring got lost and no doubt, fell into the trash can, and is now in the county dump. I always thought those trash cans should come with TWO LIDS, are you people listening, because this is about the fifth trash can I am going to have to replace, while the can itself is still in perfect shape, can you imagine the horrors of NO trashcan lid in the kitchen? ACK!
Kitchen Cabinets - We live in a pre-fab home, need I say more? Our kitchen is borderline Trailer Trash circa 1981!
Serger - After working that puppy hard for 12 years, pretty much non-stop, she's gone and went kaput on me, and i've been waiting for the repair for a month....sigh....in the meanwhile borrowing an Elna..forget it people, Berninas are the only way to go.
Printer - Erm, cat hair is the culprit..but, it makes really pretty copies with, like, ink trails and fuzz prints and such. The post office lady wouldn't accept Little Ritas passport application that we printed off of our computer, if that tells you anything.
BBQ Grill - Just, I don't know, ask Mr Ratburn about this stuff. And anyway, after Oatys last bunny carnage, I'm not too thrilled about eating meat!
My car (tune-up) - Just, yeah, a tune up, but the expensive 150,000 miles one, the one where that light went on, that light that must be OUT before you get your car smogged...uh, which I need to do in August.
Digital Camera #1 - Well, this one has been broken for two years, I was hiking, saw a bear, got all flustered, tripped, fell on camera, broke LCD window...camera still works, just can't see through that window...and yeah, you're gonna have to deal with that camera, Logo, because, well, see below*....
Lost:
Camera - *I lost it and I have no idea where, so now I have to use* that one up there!
Cell phone - You already know that story. *UPATE*Cellphone received today from Hawaii.
I'm not even gonna do that math...how much to fix/replace it all.....glad my....never mind, I'd better not say it....
All together now....say it....."AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!"

You Can Bring Your Dog

Image hosting by PhotobucketEver since Tori Amos' newest release, American Doll Posse, I have been dying to share some of her songs with you. Being that she hasn't yet toured in the United States to promote her new songs, it's pretty next to impossible to get complete performances of this song at this time. So what I have for you is, a short sound clip, and a short video clip of You Can Bring Your Dog....What a pain, I know....the dedicated will tough it out!

I hope you will enjoy this and have a wonderful Monday. No really, I mean it!

Tori AmosYou Can Bring Your Dog (this is supposed to be entire song but it isnt! Hmpghfhffhf!)

55Flash Fiction Friday

For two weeks now, Noki had been without her love. Slipping unnoticed from his pocket on the beach in Kuai, countless strangers had picked her up, fondled her blue body, then tossed her carelessly back into the sand. Until Dance found her, gently brushed the sand from her face, pressed the ON button and called....
~
You have to understand, Mr Ratburn loses everything! Normally, it's articles of clothing. The other day, we received a phone call from "Dance" in Kauai, who found Garys cell phone on the beach. Oh, Mr Ratburn! BTW, the first time ever that the rat and I strolled romantically on the beach, he lost my house keys!
If you want to know more about 55, go here. Let me know if you played today and I'll come by and check it out. You know, it would really be cool if you would all check out each others 55's while you're at it! Have a great weekend, bloggy peeps!

Get Outa My Garden.....

I'm really busy sewing, so I thought I'd just post pictures of some of my flower garden. I am actually going to have some tomatoes this year as well, that is, if the deer that lives in my yard doesn't eat them all before I do! Have a lovely day!

And i'd a danced like the king of the eyesores.....

Image hosting by PhotobucketNew Slang by The Shins

This week for Musical Monday I have chosen NOT a Rufus, NOT a Tori, but a song by The Shins called NEW SLANG. It's such a cool song. I hope you will like it. If you haven't heard The Shins before, I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised!

Now, there are about 30 versions of this song on Youtube, so why did I pick this crappy one? I swear it's the coolest one, so don't go wastin' your time over there. I'm really not sure if this is the actual video quality that The Shins released, or if someone just filmed it offa their tv.....(for those of you that dont know, I have exactly 3 TV channels, all local, so I'm always the last to know!)

Have a lovely Monday and I'll see you around!

55Flash Fiction Friday

Waiting at the red light, Sheldon confronted himself, presented always in greytones, never fire engine red, never racer blue.
He smiled at his silhouette. What a fine set of spokes he had, water bottle ready, that comfortable saddle, soft as a cloud. Sheldon, always two dimensional and environmentally friendly and always, a shadow of himself.

~
This 55 is totally inspired by the photograph above, taken by a friend. Isn't it a cool shot?
(As RennyBA would say, taken from a NOKIA mobile phone, hey, does that guy get a cut from NOKIA everytime he mentions?)
Let me know if you played today, and I'll send the posse over!
