What happened to Wednesday HNT?

Man, it just seems like life is whizzing by. I cannot believe it's HNT time already. In fact, HNT is nearly over, but I thought today was Wednesday!
Of course, I don't have anything ready, so here is a fun pic of my shoulders. I don't know how the heck I took this picture!

Happy Birthday to all of you born today. So, what are you now? 6 or 7? LOL! I knew this kid in elementary school and while we were all 11 or 12, he had celebrated only 3 actually February 29th's ...something like that...

I Have A Good Excuse, Really I Do.....

So this Friday I will unveil a big batch of my new clothes made from the fabrics I brought back from India this year. I took this picture so you could see how busy I have been. There are about 20 more pieces at the shop already.

The sick thing about me is that I make everything myself. It takes forever, but it's fun.

See, I really have been busy, and still I am sorry for abandoning my blogsponsibilities.

55Flash Fiction Friday

At first there was just one, small and pink. The green one showed up and started nibbling on the legs of her kitchen chairs. The orange one just wanted to eat cat food.
It was a very loud night in the kitchen.
The next morning there were five, and all the furniture had been eaten.

What the hell am I talking about, you ask? This morning I went for the "google a picture and then write a 55 method". I typed in lunar and this is what I got. These guys are actually doggie toys made in the UK. Doncha just love Brit stuff? I do!

Anyway, don't worry, I am in no danger of being attacked anytime soon by these Lunar Loonies! Besides, I don't even have a dog.

Try to get by and check out everyone's 55. You may have noticed what a crappy job I am doing of getting round to your 55's and for this I apologize. I do not have much time to blog anymore. But hey, that doesn't mean you can't all get over to each others blogs.

But as most of you know, the most awesome G~man and I have sortof ended up sharing this 55 hosting thingy, so you can always go over there and read his 55 as well. Next Friday, and for the next two weekends, G~man will be heading out on the highway, lookin' for adventure, and whatever comes his way, so he sure won't be 55ing with us. Happy and safe riding, G~man!

It was the perfect night for a thrilling encounter. He loved themed dates, the roses, the chocolates, the romance, made the evening go a lot smoother for the young lovers.
On the park bench in the moonlight he played his yawn-stretch-arm-around-the-girl-routine, then young Vlad went in for the kill.

Ah, what can you say about a man whose favorite color was red, and who liked to hang around with lovely women in the moonlight? What a romantic! I don't know about you ladies, but who doesn't love a seriously serious neck nibble now and then?

Bedspread Stash

I just love Indian bedspreads! The most exquisite bedspreads that I have ever seen come from Jaipur. The quality is the best, the colors, unbelievable, and the selection is beyond vast. Most available are excellent and mind blowing.

I know, I know, you are laughing. The irony! I'm still chewing on it. How to get those bedspreads without actually going to Jaipur?
I have actually gotten some of the best bedspreads ever, right at Dilli Haat in South Delhi. (They were made in Jaipur, of course.) This sort of luck is hit and miss. You never know what you are going to get at Dilli Haat, in fact this year, it was all Kashmiri crafts.

Ok man, you all must think I'm rambling on about Indian textiles when I just got back, darn it.
It never stops, this obsession, and besides, someone put me up to this bedspread business.....Why yes, they are for sale.

OK, OK, enough, right? That was 55 words of my Tofu Woman song, sung to the tune of Witchy Woman, by the Eagles. We were cooking dinner tonight when suddenly this song was created. Where we live, there are so many old hippie women , that it wasn't difficult coming up with a visual.

At one point in Jaipur, I was sitting in Aslams rickshaw while he made a phone call, and noticed all these animals around me. A cow stood right next to the rickshaw , a handful of monkeys played on the wall above me, some goats ate stuff on the road beside the shaw, a cat sauntered by, a couple of dogs lay in the sun against the wall. Some pigs ate trash.

"What am I, Noah?" I chuckled to myself.

Slowly she tiptoed through the darkened room. She must not wake the beast that lay sleeping in its chamber. Just a few more steps and she will have made it to safety! Holding her breath, she steps toward her goal. But it's too late! The monster has seen her and greedily pounces on its prey.

Argh! It's not easy raising a kitten! I forgot about the teeth, and the pouncing on you when you walk into a room, and the hair chewing, and the attacking of the couch pillows, and the suddenly slapping at your glasses routine! Ack! Not to mention that Oaty would still very much like to eat Gupta!
