Musical Monday

Happy Monday, everyone!
This is a beautiful song from a lousy Indian film called Aaja Nachle. This really isnt a video at all, I couldn't find one that showed a performance while also sounding good, so just let it load and close your eyes.... and perhaps the lovely Mona, who we all hope is feeling better now, will come by and tell us what Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is singing...something about love...it always is.

Isn't it?
Y
O Re Piya Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

If you want to know more, click some of these links. Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (b. 1974) is a Pakistani musician, primarily a singer of Qawwali, the devotional music of the Sufis.
This is a lovely song, I hope you will take the time to listen to it. There is no Rufus in sight, I promise.

Well it translates as :

"O My Beloved, my heart aches for you! Just like the winds and the elements of nature form clouds that shower upon us, so I believe in too, that every atom weaves the conspiracy called Life.
O My beloved, when our eyes met, it was instant love. And although that love has enveloped me in a storm of powerful emotions, I know that I must tread carefully, as this is the first promise that Life has ever shown me.
Ever Up till now, I have spent my life as if walking on burning charcoal, and have been brought up by things as dark as night. O my Beloved, Please carry me away from here, to your land where I promise you will get to see my true value, the one which has been cruelly left unrealized by these ignorant people here."

PS> tell G man To come back & read it if he can't hear. :D
