always nice for others to break the "cool tat" ice for me... so i'll be original... where'd ya get it done? how long did it take? and was your artist male or female?
Thank you everyone! Why an octopus? I think my main inspiration comes from my favorite artist, Gustav "I will wear a dress if I want to" Klimt. I totally love the spirals and design elements in his work. So, I wanted a tattoo that had alot of spiraly action...you can't see the back of the tattoo, but the legs in the back get really spirally! Also, I did a little research, and read that like a dragon, it is believed that an octopus slays your evil demons! Do I have evil demons? You bet I have! The other side has a starfish, which is of bright reds and oranges..so I have the full color spectrun on my ankle! My third tattoo, which is grapes, has lots of spirally tendrils. And, my tattoo to come, pumpkins, with tendrils of course. After that, elephants! My tattoo artist is a woman, in Santa Rosa, CA...she sooo rocks! It took about 2 hours to do this tattoo. HAPPY HNT TO YOU ALL! Thanks for stopping by!
