Help!

I've just been hired to make a Woodstock costume for a 10 year old boy. Ackkk! Papier Mache'? Foam and fabric? Buckram? Wire? I'm really stuck on this one....how to make a head piece that covers his head so noone recognizes him, so that he can still breathe and see (where am I gonna put the kids eye and breathing holes?)......and doesn't cause him whiplash! (just take a look at the size of that beak, it's enough to make anyone topple over!)....the body part I can handle, wings and tail.....but the head has me stumped.....any ideas?

Foam gets my vote, and maybe a mesh screen so the kid can see?

Foam for head with wire to support the triangles and mesh for mouth and eyes?, fabric would probably be the best for the body part. But what do I know? I have can't even sow the valances for my livingroom window : (

Wire frame or boning (like in a corset) for the structure. Fabric for the covering & painted mesh eyes and breathing area.

Dang that's not an easy project.

Oh jeez until the pic loaded all the way I thought you meant Woodstock as in that ginormous concert in the 70's.

I thought people at woodstock didn't wear clothes. You don't need to make a costume. Just Kidding.
