(No, I don't normally hang out in my bedroom with eggs, but wierder things have happened.)
Please watch this touching tribute to Paul Newman from last weeks Letterman show. Rufus alert. Can I help it if all the cool guys wanna hang out together?
**Update**Oh yeah, some of you are at work and cannot watch a 9 minute video. Anyway, if you don't have time to watch, here is something important that you may not have known about Paul Newman. He raised over $250 million dollars in his lifetime for charity, and with that and his generous heart, touched the lives of many. In the words of David Letterman, "...here is a guy who knew how to live his life because he took care of other people."
OK Get back to work now. ;)

I will have to watch this at home later. The connection I have is worse than a dialup modem.
I thought you were going to play the dig Letterman did at McCain for canceling on him in the last minute to "Rush" to Washington. I have not seen Letterman since but wish I had to see if he got tired of him yet or not. Anyway I look forward to see this clip.
Oh man the eggs again. I have something to make for Friday that needs a lot of eggs. Then again I got a dozzen and a half so...
UPDATE: Some of us got home and watched the video. I love it, thank you Susie. I saw that program but missed the beginning of it. I did not start watching until part way through the Julia Louis-Dreyfus interview.
Thank you so much for sharing that Susie. I usually watch Letterman but for some strange reason I was watching Leno that day. He had something for old blue eyes too but I really love what Letterman did. And you know what, they are continuing with his food line and contributing profits to charity so he continues to support others even after he is no longer with us.
I tell you Newman is the best, Letterman ain't bad either and I am going to throw you in there too. Thanks again Suzie Q.
I had the supremely wonderful opportunity to meet Paul Newman at a race at Road Atlanta many years ago. What a gentleman and generous with his time. It is no surprise that he did so much for charities!
You Look Eggsactly like a mischeivious little Imp...G
Susieji in the bedroom with eggs... ahh... nevermind. I just came by to say you might be interested in my latest post: (Not Quite) Wordless Wednesday - Special Thursday Edition: Gandhi in the Hood Redux.
Special Edition for a special occasion...
And by the way... WTF is a "yurt" anyway?
cute shot, susie. and yes, a man worthy of tribute. thanks for sharing.
Hey Susieji... I figured you'd like the Bapu post. And I wonder who Gandhiji would have put on India's currency if he'd been asked? I somehow think he'd have passed on the position myself. That's just not how he rolled.
But you posed an interesting question, one that might have blog-fodder potential of its own...
A very fitting tribute. Now my eyes are leaking. Thanks.
I'm home - at work - so I did it anyway and hope its okay
Wishing you a wonderful end to your week!
