I've always liked the timeless jazziness of this band, although sometimes that Donald Fagen guy just drives me crazy with that singing voice of his, so I do not surprise myself one bit that my favorite Steely Dan song is sung by "the other guy", David Palmer.From what I can gather, Donald Fagen had a case of the stage frights, which partially explains why, in Steely Dan, the lyrics are changed up between Fagen and Palmer.

I think the best thing about the vocals on any Steely Dan is their harmony. It takes the both of them to make it really groove.
