55Flash Fiction Friday

Today I felt like writing two versions!

He lazes against the tree and gazes up at feet, tattoos and legs dangling. His mind races through cotton candy blossoms, cinnamon hair and sugar skin...that overall strap, undone again, slips from her sun warmed shoulder. Hungry eyes watch as apple touches parting lips, then meet an evil glance as the apple drops, aiming for his head.
(all the evil ideas in this 55 are from Logo)

In the grass below, black rubber farm boots abandoned. Above in the tree, feet and toes dangle. Overalls with one strap dangling, leaning back onto a branch. Gazing up into the blossoms, petals rain down. Sun warms her shoulders, she shines her apple and takes a bite, laughing as the juice runs down her chin.

I write about apples a lot......why don't you give it a try! Write a 55 word story with a plot and at least one character. You can write in my comments or at your blog! Let me know you played, and have fun!

55 just for you, Susie Q.

"Susie!" comes the anticipated and somewhat dreaded call from the house.
"Phone, it's that client you were expecting." Wiping apple juice from her chin onto a sleeve she descends from the world of apple blossom magic to the realm of chaos, demands and clamor but still, in her heart, the apple blossoms flourish, all year.

There she sat in the tree, the buzzing of the bees above her in the blossoms was welcomed white noise as she closed her eyes and let the breeze brush against her skin. The sunlight felt like a warm blanket on her arms. How she loved spring. For one brief moment, she felt twenty-two again.

.............
Mine will be up soon on my blog.
First, going to find a pic and see what I can create to go with it.
I love what a challenge this is but also the little bit of freedom it offers my mind funny enough. I hope you know what I mean.
Happy Friday!

The Spanish oak loomed tall over it's surroundings. Moss hung from its limbs, brushing the lake. The small white cross at it's feet dazzled the eyes with reflected sunlight. He always wanted to spend eternity there. "And now he will," she thought as a tear trailed her cheek and she lay the white orchid down.

There you go and before Saturday even! Have a great weekend Suse.

The colored pencils weren’t cooperating with her, and she didn’t feel much like reading about World War II where her novel had dumped her, so Amelia decided to take a short walk. The neighborhood was a buzz with the noise of leaf blowers as she strolled toward the park at the end of her block.

The homeless were out in force even though it was a brisk morning. She thought, “They look like piles of dirty laundry waiting to be washed by some gargantuan laundress.” Amelia doesn’t mind the indigent population of the park. She always makes a point to say, ”Good morning” when she passes them on the sidewalk.

in the early morning sun they stuggled with felt, velcro, pushing the wire to the side so heads, and toros fit. grabbing balloons and a wagon they walk down the yellow line , the crowd pushes forward, a hard sucker bounces off a curled brim, what he fuck she mumbles falling back into main street saloon

Pools of blood collected in the folds of the tarp.

Devin:"This wasn't necessary, you know?"

Jean:"His head is...busted open."

Devin:"Hey, we can't go back to yesterday. Grab the corners."

Jean: "Oh, dear God. The wedding band...moving...it's slipping off."

Moving on we have non other than Bobby Charlton - now Sir Bobby Charlton of course. Another member of the Busby Babes who also survived the crash in Munich Bobby netted 249 times for Utd- the club record. For a long time he also held the record for the most appearances for the club at 758, a figure that has since been surpassed by Ryan Giggs. manchesterunited Manchester United Football Club has brought great fame and glory to the city of Manchester because of its exploits in international fields of competition. For many people, Manchester United is not only a great football team but one of the city’s premier ambassadors of goodwill to the world. The team proudly represents some of the best qualities of the people and city of Manchester. rooney Back in the Newton Heath era, the kits were made up of yellow and green stitched sections (1878 - 1892), and looked a bit like a jockey's silks. Some additional colour schemes were also employed such as a red and white shirt (1892-1894) paired with blue shorts. This all changed in 1902 when the club changed its name to Manchester United, the club radically altered the kit colours to red shirts, white shorts and black socks. This colour palette has been the foundation of the home strip ever since. The away strip is white jerseys, black shorts and white socks however different looks to this strip have existed. The most notorious of these was the all-grey strip employed in the 1995-1996 campaign. The club did not win a single game when sporting the grey shirts. The team were vociferous in their claims that the drab colour meant they had difficulty seeing their team-mates, hence passes were being sprayed all over the pitch! Another variation was the all-black kit used in 1994 and 2003. There is also a "Third Strip". This shirt which is not often used, is an homage to the kit worn when the club won the 1968 European Cup. The team has occasionally used the strips employed for training sessions in actual matches although this has been a rare occurence.
