You wish you all could be California girls!!!

Just kidding, y'all! This picture was taken by Mr Ratburn in Malibu in 1987. Did we even work? How did we find all this time to hang around at the beach doing nothing but soaking up rays and erm, playing volleyball, yeah volleyball, thats right.

What sort of stuff did you do in your barefoot, wild and carefree 20's?

Happy HNT to you all, and hope you're having a fabulous summer!

I actually kinda, sorta wish I was a rock on the beach. Were you ever anything but drop dead sexy? Sus, you are gorgeous ... just don't tell Ratburn I think so ... I see the way he looks at me. HHNT Sugar.

I was on the beach in California too, but about 20 years earlier. I am pretty sure I was probably doing the same thing. Strange how fuzzy my memory is now.

Fabulous pic, darling! In 1987 I was only just in my twenties...but from the wrong end, if you see what I mean! (I was 29) Motorcycles featured heavily throughout my 20's (and 30's) only driven (nearly) barefoot when in Greece, though! But being barefoot on the beach and swimmimg in the sea (even in Scotland)was and still is one of my favourite things. HHNT sweetie! x

I didn't have any wild and carefree 20s. My daughter was born shortly before my 20th birthday. I spent my 20s trying to make a living. Maybe I will have wild and carefree 40s or something? Happy HNT!

My barefoot and carefree 20’s was great, but I’m glad I only lived it once! The Testosterones got me into some trouble once in a while, but not more than I could handel:-)
Happy HNT to you too!

1987 - the year I graduated high school. Oh, but to be back in the 80's. The "Me" decode. Yeah. Things were great. The music. The clothing; I mean, who can argue with parachute pants and leggings? Okay, most anyone can, but that's not the point. The point is, the 80's pwned.

And so do you. What a great smile. It looks like you were having a great time.

Happy HNT.

I hung around the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, making sure I caught up with all my college buddies as they came down for Spring Break. The other 51 weeks I practiced for their arrival.

It was a great town to be single and 20-something.

My twenties were filled with trips to rock climb, trips to ride bikes, camping in Yosemite, Skiing in Utah, Tahoe & Mammoth, Trips to the river with hundreds of frat boys and sorority chicks. Many parties, concerts and musicals. The highlight of my twenties was probably the fall of 1985 when I spent a semester at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. All that history & art to emmerce myself in, plus no responsibility other than a few easy classes a week. No work, just fun, fun, fun all a la francaise!
